Sex without Regret! - What does this mean for you?

HIV is transmitted through blood, semen, vaginal or anal fluids and breast-milk BUT NOT through saliva, urine, sweat, tears, feces, mucus and other bodily fluids.
How do people contract HIV?

· Vaginal or anal sex without a condom (includes breakage)
· Sharing used needles
· Mother living with HIV to child through childbirth or breastfeeding
· Blood Transfusions
Sucking or Being Sucked” (oral sex)

If you are sucking without a condom and the person you are sucking has HIV you could get it depending on how long you are exposed to HIV (how long infected cum or blood is in your mouth and how much of the virus is in the cum or blood. If you have an infection in your mouth, throat, penis, urethra, anus, or had recent dental work or oral infections (sore throat) and take in infected semen (cum), you have a higher chance of getting HIV and other STI’s (Sexually Transmitted Infections).

Do not brush your teeth immediately before or after oral sex. Pull his penis out before he ejaculates (cums). Do not swallow the cum. After, gargle with mouth wash (swish and spit).

“Being a Bottom” (receiving anal sex)

Semen (cum) carries HIV and can enter the body through the lining of the ass or through small cuts or abrasions that occur during sex.
“Being a Top” (giving anal sex)

Many think if they are giving anal sex, they can’t get HIV. HIV can enter the body via the tip of the penis or through tiny cuts or scratches on the penis.

Infection may occur depending on the length of time you are exposed to the infected body fluid and the amount of virus in the fluid.

ALWAYS USE A CONDOM with water-based lubricant. A condom helps prevent transmission of HIV and other STI’s. Available FREE at ASAAP!

Homophobia

Sexual orientation is not the same as sexual behaviour. It is more common for people to engage in same sex sexual practices than for individuals to identify as homosexuals. Some individuals do not openly identify as Gay or Bi-Sexual because they fear isolation, stigma and discrimination.
